Divine preservation does not lead to idol manipulation. How many of us seek what's on the masters table yet do not give him our complete self? God does not preserve you for glory so that you can have your best independent life now. God preserves his people through the afflictions, trials and suffering for His name sake. To many of us have bought into the “Church Americana” which seeks an idol worker for his kingdom who seeks to preserve themselves from any identity with Christ by simple attend church. Divine preservation is for mission

Dr. Preston Graham remarked that "the church is not a spontaneous group of people who gather together weekly for a lifetime academy of self-absorption". Then, what is the church? Let's start with the head to focus on our "participation in the Gospel", verse 5.
